<p> Ice suffices for Katarina Witt and Brian Boitano. Between
them, they've skated for 37 years and have three Olympic gold
medals--two for her, one for him. Starting in April, East
Germany's Witt, 24, and the U.S.'s Boitano, 26, who met in 1983,
will be swirling as a pair when they begin touring the world
with a new show. The two friends, exhibiting fine form last week
in Manhattan's Central Park, "have good chemistry and an
emotional connection," says Boitano, but don't share a passion
to compete. Witt has lost her feeling for pressure-filled
contests; Boitano hopes to try for the '92 Olympics. Says he:
"My heart and soul are in competitive skating."
