  18. <p>     Ice suffices for Katarina Witt and Brian Boitano. Between
  19. them, they've skated for 37 years and have three Olympic gold
  20. medals--two for her, one for him. Starting in April, East
  21. Germany's Witt, 24, and the U.S.'s Boitano, 26, who met in 1983,
  22. will be swirling as a pair when they begin touring the world
  23. with a new show. The two friends, exhibiting fine form last week
  24. in Manhattan's Central Park, "have good chemistry and an
  25. emotional connection," says Boitano, but don't share a passion
  26. to compete. Witt has lost her feeling for pressure-filled
  27. contests; Boitano hopes to try for the '92 Olympics. Says he:
  28. "My heart and soul are in competitive skating."
